Can it really be? Last hop day?

Happy Saturday!
WOW!  As another blog hop comes to a close... I want to take this time to thank all my designer pals for their time, effort and fantastic designs they designed for the hop!  You know I think you all ROCK!  Also, a HUGE thank you goes out to you and your friends for taking time out of each of your days to follow and support our hop!  Without you all... there would be no hop!  Now just because the hop is over, doesn't mean we stop sharing, designing and blogging!  We are just getting started gals!  Since many of us are in the same industry the BIG quilt show is just around the corner which means new designs, new fabrics, new wools, new plans and new show circuits starting again... and MUCH MORE blogging!  Us gals need to keep you inspired and entice you to keep creating with our new designs!  So the party continues!  Please keep following us and sharing in our journeys!

I hope you enjoyed my little bunny design!  I am anxiously awaiting your pics coming at me left and right as you finish it up!  I am betting someone has already completed it and will be sending it to me shortly!  I have been loving how fast some of you have jumped in on the hop and did each one as they were posted!  How cool is that!  And for those of you who have not had the started... just make sure you print off the pattern in case they get deleted at some point!  You can always save your copy and whip them up when you get a chance!

Be sure to CELEBRATE St. Patty's Day with us as we reveal {BLOCK 3} in our "MYSTERY" BOM!  We plan on making it a fun day on blog and FB page as we reveal the block and give everyone a little more time to enjoy the wrapping up of the blog hop!  So please spread the word that St. Patty's day is the BIG day!

Don't forget I will be posting the "LUCKY" Friday winners later today {since I wrote this post earlier...Friday in blog land is not over!}...  I also have not finished reading all the comments {busy day}, and like to take my time and enjoy them!  So I will get to that after the hope wraps up for the day!

Let's get back to the Spring Thyme Blog Hop!!  My good friend Sheri, from Calico Moon will wrap up the last day of the hop!  I can't think of a cuter spring project to complete our hop with! Who doesn't love a good old fashioned chicken design! Maybe we should celebrate too and make her yummy bread recipe!  Here is her Q &A!  Enjoy!  Don't forget to click the link and head to her FB page for the pattern and recipe once you are done reading the post!  Thanks again for making our hop a fantastic one!

Hi! I am Sheri from Calico Moon. I have been running our shop for 22 years with my mother. Our shop is an entire lifestyle, PRIMITIVE with home decor, reproduction fabrics, wool and rug hooking.

My favorite medium to work in is wool and quilting.

I love to create a quilt and then hook a rug that compliments the quilt. I love different textures in my home from wood, metal and textiles.

The most indispensable tool are SCISSORS.
You need them for everything! Not just sewing! I have scissors everywhere in the house and I collect old ones as well.

My design style is primitive, funky-junky.

I love to collect things that are and were practical, like drying racks, brooms, scissors, galvanized buckets, ect.

My next ambition would be to design and make cowboy boots!  I love my boots to have lots of stitch work on them as well as lots of inlays.  It reminds me of the work that goes into making a quilt, rug ,ect.  They are for sure works of art!

Hello Gals!  Today was just a fun day!  All the snow has melted at the shop!  I can't believe it! No more slipping on the ice as you try to unlock the door!!!  {Simple JOYS!} I also opened the windows in the house for the cats sit by and watch the birds fly and leaves blow... It is so great to be able to enjoy the fresh air after a long winter!  Spring really is such a blessing!

Spring Thyme Blog Hop Day 9!!

Happy Monday!
No need to let this Monday bring you down!
Our hop is still going on... so we plan on making Monday GREAT for you with a cute little design from Heartspun Quilts!  I loved Debbie's darling basket ornament and her spring fever pictures!!!  Another fun part about this hop -besides the variety of mediums... is that each of you get small, doable and different shaped designs!  I love it!  And for those of you in the Midwest...like I am... we get small signs of "hope" that spring is on it's way like as shown in this picture of Debbi's!!!  I am so ready for spring!!!!

Spring is happening in Oregon!!!
Wooden Spool Designs Project

Also, if you are new to our blog hop, please go all the way back to March 1st (1st day of our hop!) and click on Quilts by Cheri and follow up to today's post!  Be sure to print off both their patterns and projects designed just for our Spring Thyme Blog Hop!  You can always print them out and work on them later!!!

Up next we have Pam from Heartspun Quilts!  Here is her Q & A!  I am dying to see her antique sampler collection!  WOW!  She has one that date backs to 1767!!!!  Can you imagine what they had to work with back then and to think that they are some of the most amazing pieces of work to date!  It always blows me away to see old quilts or samplers done with such precision and care!

Q & A
Tell us briefly about yourself… Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts.  I have three passions in my life (besides home and family, of course!)  I've always loved the needle and taught myself to stitch embroidery when I was 10 years old.  So, love, love, love stitching of all kinds.  Secondly, I love nineteenth century antiques and the hunt to find them.  Lastly, of all nineteenth century antiques, Samplers are my favorite.  I have a growing collection of around 16, with the oldest dated 1767.

Favorite medium to work in? Piecing with cottons.

What inspires you? Many things, but mainly quilt blocks.  I am inspired just looking at them.

Indispensable tool?  Electric Quilt

Your design style in 3 words?  Traditional, classic, reproduction

On the drawing board? A new BOM for Marcus Fabrics

You collect?  Samplers

On your bucket list? A Dear Jane quilt.

Spring Thyme Blog Hop Continues!!!!!
Up next is Debbie Busby from Wooden Spool Designs!  How cool is it that she was married on the 1st day of spring!  What a neat anniversary date!!  Here is her Q & A!!!

Q & A
Tell us briefly about yourself… Hey everybody…. I’m Debbie Busby of Wooden Spool Designs. I’ve lived in the Northwest my whole life and love living here. I’ve been married for 39 years; have two married children, 6 adorable grandchildren, and two labs.

Life is always busy around here and each day is filled with something new!!! In other words…there is NEVER A DULL MOMENT!!!
Favorite medium to work in?  WOOL!!!! My absolute favorite medium to work with is 100%wool. Hand dyed wool. I dye my own wool and love seeing the changes the wool goes through and the transformation it takes during the dying process.

What inspires you?  My mom inspired me to start my business which I will always be grateful for. Everyday things that I see, the shapes and colors of the different seasons, spending time in the quiet late nights at my sewing table is my favorite time to create.

I am also inspired by my family, friends, and all the other wonderful people who LOVE to work with wool!! There is nothing more inspiring than to be around others who love to stitch with wool!!

Indispensable tool?  Fortunately not many tools are required for wool applique and would not be possible without a needle. I use Piecemaker #8 embroidery needles but always tell my students that there is really NO WRONG needle. Use what you like….what you can thread…..and make sure you have an extra!! (I always lose mine)!!

Your design style in 3 words?  Heartwarming, Folksy, Whimsical

On the drawing board?  I seem to never be able to stitch faster than the list of projects I have lined up!! Spring Quilt Market is coming up in May so I am working on new designs!!

You collect?  My favorite things to collect are old buttons in jars, tomato pincushions, and Ironstone pitchers. I love old rustic style things!!

On your bucket list? I would love to take a fall trip to the New England States!!!
Click the link to head on over to Debbie's blog to print off her recipe & this darling little tulip basket!
